  1. 1/ In my opinion, in Viet Nam, children are tempted to smoking and alcohol use because of peer pressure. Boys are more vulnerable to be involved in bad things more easily than girls. They may know that drugs and alcohol are harmful and it is prohibited to use them under 18 years old. However, they are stimulated to try doing something against the principle of their parents, teachers and society. They think wrongly that is cool and that is independent. Video game attracts children so much that cause an addiction. Most of them individually engage in playing games because of accessible media and mobile phone.
2/ In my parents time, teenagers rarely involved in drugs, alcohol and there were not video games because of the war aftermath. Teenagers usually had to support their parents in household chores, even had to work hard to support family’s finance. TV were a luxurious good, books were not too many but enough for them to discover the world. They mostly concerned how to become fine adult and get a good job. In contrast, today children can have a better life where they can enjoy entertainment. However, they prone to abuse that turn these superiorities to inferiorities.

  2. 1) yes, they exist in our culture. I don't think that alcohol and drugs are available in our country , if they want it that will cost them a lot to find an illegal way to get them , and they don't have enough money since they are young. Instead, they could find cigarates easily and try it , then they will be addicted from their early years and they will be more likely to get heart diseases and lung cancer and so on. In addition, finding information easily could be good and could be bad. Sometimes they could find harmful information ,or see dangerous videos and try to do like them. In the same vein, electronic devices are popular now, and some families can't buy them, so their children will feel like they are not like other kids.
    2) they were enjoying everything that they find or every game that they play. Sometime you need to try hard so you can learn. Unlike them, everything is easy for us , we can find any information at any time. We could play any game and watch any video when we are bored. That could be great for some people, but I think if we had lived in their time, we would probably be more strong and able to handle problems.

  3. 1/ Yes, the same pressure also exists in our culture. Teenagers use drugs, alcohol to escape from hard lifetime when they have to face to obstacles, and easy to give up then. With the instant availability of electronic information, teenagers also confused whether it benefits for them or not. Obviously, surfing on the internet is always easier than spending time to read a book. Drugs, alcohol and electronic info all bring teenagers to a virtual life and make them to be much addicted day by day.

2/ The experience of being a teenager has changed much since my parents were teenagers. In their teenage period, there was only drugs and alcohol affected their life, no available electronic info.
It's really hard to conclude whether life is easier or more difficult for teenagers today since now they have the advanced life conditions which are better than those in the past but society also requires them more as well as put more pressure on their decisions.

  5. 1) Yes, same pressures exist in my culture. In China, teenagers under 18 years old are not allowed to buy something has alcohol. Buy drugs are illegal in my country. Boys are more curiousness than girls, they like to try mind-altering substances like drugs and alcohol when they saw other person do this. Because of the internet grows faster, teenagers can get more information on the internet. For teenager they won't know the information they get is good or bad for them.
(2)I think life become more difficult for teenagers today. Teenagers has to face more tempt things, and their life are better than their parents period.

  6. 1)In fact, Chinese parents are strict. when I was 16, in my class, my classmates and I usually " have to" study hard. even though some teenagers are rebellion, they might flight with others, skip classes or drinking alcohol, however, they don't drug, I mean really rare. By the way, drug is illegal in China.
2)Since my parents were teenagers, they weren't taken care by their parents because there are lots of kids in each family. In addition, compare with my parents, our life is easier than before due to the development of economy and technology, we have more entertainment. Also, most of us are only child in our family.

  7. 1 In china ,every teenager will meet pressure. The most important thing is teaching them how to release pressure in correct ways. Some students maybe try to release pressure with drug and alcohol . If these students have enough education, they will not go to do these bad things.
2.In my parents' young time ,china is very poor. They had never seen what's drug. Most of them don't haver enough money to buy these things
