From the student council today's meeting
1.Insurance wave : As you already know that LCC charged you for your Student insurance ;however, if you have your own insurance then you can get your money back. The deadline for insurance wavier is February 5th please go to http:// www.studentinsurance.com
2. Driving license : For new student if you want to have a driver's
license but you don't know where to go and what to do please contact our
international student councilor Ms. Cathy Blake or you can go to https://www.dps.texas.gov it will tell you what to do or what paper works need to be done.
3.Perking permit : All student must have their parking permit in order to park in university's parking lot or garage. for parking permit please go to the Welcome center.
4. F1 workshops and carrier service workshops If your visa status is F1 you should attend F1 workshop which is going to be held on February 4 . It a wonderful chance to grab information about how to maintain your visa status, what to do and what not to do . Also if you want to take a vacation or transfer to another program F1 workshop is the best way to know each and everything. In future if you wish to work for any American company Carrier service workshop is the only way to know everything such as , how to make a good resume, what kind of mind set you need to make, how to prepare for and job interview .
5.Conversation club and LCC singers : Each and every student should join this two fantastic group. It's a good way to know more about different culture , make new friends and practice your English speaking
